Clay Ceremony – A Creative Introduction to Hand building

Clay Ceremony is an invitation to get your hands dirty, quiet the busy mind, and reconnect with the joy of simply making.

In this hands-on experience, you’ll be introduced to the basics of hand-building with clay and then given 2 pounds of clay to freely explore and create. Make a mug, a bowl, a little sculpture, something useful, something playful—or simply follow where your hands take you. There are no rules about what you should make. Our instructor will be right there to guide, encourage, and help you along the way.

Think of it as play with clay, with a little intention—a chance to step away from the everyday, explore the child within, and experience the grounding, tactile joy of working with your hands.

At the end, choose your two favorite pieces to keep. We’ll glaze and fire them for you, and they’ll be ready for pickup in approximately 4–6 weeks.

Wall Sconces

You’ll learn the basics of hand-building and create your very own ceramic wall sconce from clay. Make it truly yours by adding custom stamps, textures, patterns, and motifs that reflect your personal style and taste.

No pottery experience is needed—just come ready to get your hands messy and have fun!

At the end of the workshop, you’ll get to choose the glaze colors for your piece. We’ll take care of the firing, and your finished wall sconce will be ready for pickup in approximately 4–6 weeks.

Kintsugi Workshop – The beauty of imperfection.

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art form that celebrates imperfections by repairing broken ceramics with gold.

In this reflective and symbolic workshop, participants explore the philosophy behind Kintsugi — the idea that breakage and repair are part of an object’s story rather than something to hide.

Each participant receives a ceramic piece that they will intentionally break and then carefully reassemble using a specialized adhesive. The seams are finished with gold powder, creating beautiful golden lines that highlight the repaired cracks.

The final piece becomes a powerful symbol of resilience, transformation, and growth.

Sgraffito Pottery – Carving Through Clay

Sgraffito is a decorative ceramic technique where designs are carved through a colored clay surface to reveal the natural clay body underneath.

Participants begin by sketching their design ideas, which may include patterns, botanical motifs, brand symbols, abstract textures, or meaningful words. Using carving tools, they gently scratch through the colored surface to reveal the clay beneath, creating striking textures and line work.

Pressed Flower – Capturing Nature in Clay

This workshop focuses on creating beautiful clay pieces inspired by nature.

Participants receive stoneware clay slabs along with a selection of fresh or dried flowers, leaves, and botanical textures. By pressing these natural elements into the clay, they create intricate patterns that capture delicate details such as leaf veins and petal structures.

Participants can shape their pieces into plates, trinket dishes, ornaments, or decorative tiles, creating elegant botanical ceramic artwork.
